Who I Am

This is me, and this is my most treasured life companion. My Sony PCM-D100 Recorder.

When I press the little red button on this thing, something miraculous happens. My thoughts stand still, my attention explodes and my ears go on a discovery of the surrounding sounds.

To me this is just like listening to music. I listen to the different layers of birds, wind or rain - as if I was separating drums, guitars or vocals with my ears in any musical listening experience.
